The enjoyment of wine has steadily increased in popularity. There are a number of factors that probably explain this rise in popularity.
One of the logical explanations is that recent medical studies indicate that a daily glass of wine is good for the cardiovascular system. In addition, there are studies that underscore the antioxidant value of a glass of wine. Antioxidants have been shown to be very effective in fighting free radicals.
In addition, wine has become more plentiful and therefore quality wines can be purchased at a reasonable price. Because of the popularity of wine consumption there is an equivalent rise in available wine accessories. One of those accessories is a refrigerated cupboard wine storage case.
If in the market for such an accessory it is important to keep certain things in mind. Specifically, look for the temperature and humidity features of the refrigerated cupboard wine storage rack and weigh the pros and cons of the other features available.
Temperature And Humidity Features
The most important control that needs to be featured as part of the refrigerated cupboard wine storage rack is a feature that maintains the proper temperature and humidity of the wine. Therefore, regardless of the look of the cupboard wine storage rack or the various features that the cupboard wine storage rack may offer, if it cannot meet these two basic requirements of wine storage it is useless.
That is because the optimum storage temperature for wine should be anywhere from 56 to 58°F. This temperature range is important when storing wine because of the composition of the wine. That composition of wine is a combination of organic esters which provides wine its unique flavor along with intricate biochemical compounds.
If the wine is not maintained at the optimum temperature then there can be an imbalance in this composition. This imbalance increases in proportion to a rise in the wine’s temperature. Ultimately, as the temperature of the wine increases there is corresponding negative increase between the esters and the intricate biochemical compounds. Eventually, if allowed to continue, the wine becomes ruined.
In addition, there needs to be a humidity control feature. This feature needs to be in place because if the humidity is not maintained at the proper level there may be resulting shrinkage within the wine cork.
If there is shrinkage within the wine cork, the seal may be compromised which allows oxygen to seep into the wine bottle. If this occurs there will be a resulting oxidation process that takes place which leads to the wine becoming acidic. The optimum humidity range of a refrigerated cupboard wine storage rack should be between 50 and 70%
Other Features To Be Considered
If in the market for a refrigerated cupboard wine storage rack there are other features to be considered before purchasing. Two of those features are the number of bottles that can be stored in the unit and other accessories.
There are various sized cupboard wine storage racks that can be purchased. Obviously, a factor that needs to be considered in selecting the appropriate size is the number of bottles that the consumer wishes to store. Fortunately, on the market today, there are various sizes of cupboard wine storage racks ranging from the accommodation of 58 bottles to over 600 bottles of wine.
Other features for the consumer’s consideration include the type of wood that is used to construct the refrigerated cupboard wine storage racks, strength of the warranty and other accessories. Those accessories could include a keyed system, lighting, etc.

The day is fast approaching. Folks coming over. Your party could be the social event of the year. IF….if you serve the right drinks!
OK, it doesn't take Sherlock Houses to grasp that. So what do you do? Well naturally you serve Sangria!
Well OKt then, what's thebest party sangria you ask? Let me help you out a bit. Here’s what you do to be a sangria party star.
What to Serve
If you are having only a few people over, say six or less, I would stick with one kind of sangria.
A normal crop of sangria using one bottle of wine with other ingredients will be about 36 oz. Enough for 6, 6 oz glasses.
But dependent on your group, you can possibly require more, so be ready to double the batch. A rough rule to be safe is to figure on 1 bottle of wine and other ingredients per 4 people.
If you have more people it may be fun to make perhaps a batch without liqueur and perhaps a batch with for the more adventurous of the group.
Since many people would prefer red wines and some like whites, maybe you could make a load of red and a batch of white. Again, this is part of the party where you can be fully creative.
Best Party Sangria
Here are some excellent recipes
How to Make it
All of my recipes are for 1 bottle of wine. Its very easy to scale up just by increasing the amounts of your ingredients.

Remember one of the advantages of sangria is that's can be made well in advance so that you can focus on other areas of the party.
Infrequently when I'm making Sangria for a party, I start out with fruits that are in season and then base the Sangria recipe around that.
For instance, I like mulled or warmed sangria and it’s excellent for the holidays. But in the dead of summer I tend to prefer a white refreshing sangria.
But if you really like a certain flavor, forget the time of the year and have at it!
The right way to Serve It
Remember that big ole punch bowl that Uncle Bill and Aunt Kate gave you for your wedding that is burried way back in your closet? Time to pull it out. Yea, the ladle, too.
If Uncle John and Aunt Susie forgot about you on the important day, be creative. What about that large spaghetti pot?
If you do not have anything, don’t sweat, just fill the glasses and set them on the table. But whatever you do, it'll turn out great.
What to Name It
Here is a fun idea! What about naming your Sangria? What??? OK, here’s what I mean. Everyone likes to be recognized, right?
What if your buddy Bob just got engaged? Why not name the sangria something similar to Massive Bob Sangria and put a tiny name card in front of the sangria.
Folk will get a hoot out of something like a named sangria. Or what about after your fave sports team. Or what about after something funny somebody in you group did?
The opportunities are endless. These are just some easy thoughts and pointers to get you going. But don't fear. Whatever you do will be fine.
I hope you enjoy your sangria at your next party!
